MEANISS, Robert

1966 - 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert William George Meaniss announce his passing after a brave and strong fight with many health issues with his loved ones by his side.

Robert was predeceased by his Grandparents George and Janet Gill, Vera and James Jones. His dad Roy Meaniss and his biological father William Jones. His beloved brother David Meaniss as well as Peter and Robert. Sisters Mary, Jennifer, and Lauralee. Robert also was predeceased by his brother-in-law Adam Comer and his nephew Julien Jones.

Left to mourn is his loving and devoted wife Shelley, his children Morgan (Brianna) Meaniss, Kayla (Henry) Batisse. His mother Judith Gill, and Uncle George Gill. Robert also leaves behind his pride and joy his grandchildren, Makenzie, Mishlynne, Jeremy, Billy, Angelina, Kaiden, Javen and Evie Batisse and of course his companion his fur granddaughter Bella. His sister Diane (Brent) Meaniss, brothers, Christopher (Lorna) Meaniss, Dale, James and Chrisopher Jones (Jonsy). Robert also loved his Nieces and Nephews. Paige McGruthers, and Skyler Meaniss. His nephews, Brandon, Evan and Adrian Deveau, Moses Meaniss, Andrew Meaniss, Mackenzie and Kieran Jones as well as Benjamin (Montana). Robert will also be missed by many more family and friends.

Robert had a passion for driving. A lot may remember Robert driving taxi for many many years in Kirkland Lake. Robert loved talking and visiting everyone as he drove around Kirkland Lake. He would also stop along the way to talk to someone and reminisce about the old days in Kirkland Lake.

The family would like to thank Dr. Moore and the loving, caring and patient staff at the Kirkland Lake District Hospital and the Dialysis Unit as well as the VON staff and nurses.

A visitation will be held at the Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative (111 Burnside Drive) on Saturday March 8th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at the funeral home. All are welcome.

At this time the family would like to ask anyone who would like to make donations in Robert’s memory to donate to the Kirkland Lake Dialysis Unit.
