Robert was my brother. In July of 2014, I went to Kirkland Lake to try and find him again. I am so sad to have not known he was ill. My condolences to his family.

It was sad to hear that you passed away Shorty. Just last week you were hopeful that you would finally get out of the hospital and be able to get your own place. Its too bad that couldn’t have happened for you….farewell my friend

My name is Richard Brunet. I am Robert's brother. I found out about Robert's death well after it occurred. We lost touch over the year's as I moved around a great deal and lived in Ontario, Newfoundland and now reside in Quebec.
I was saddened by the news of Rob's death even though we have had little contact since the 80's when I last saw him in Toronto. He came for a visit to meet other family members. I have fond memories of him during our initial meeting when he was about 17 years old. We had been separated as family from the time Rob was about 2 years of age and I was about 6 years old.
I was saddened to hear of his passing but was heartened to see that he had all of you around him before he died. He must have felt very loved to have his children and grand children to see him off. In my limited time spent with him I found him to be a good and kind person. He will be missed.
My wife Louise and I would like to offer our sincere, although belated condolances to all of you. We are very happy that he had all of you in his life.

Sincerely,

Richard and Louise Brunet
