Brazeau, Robert

BRAZEAU, Robert

1938 - 2021
Robert André Brazeau
Feb. 1 1938 - Dec 23 2021

A simple man who loved his family with everything he had, Robert was forever rooted on the earth of his family farm in Kerns township. He would always speak of his time there as the best of his life. “The good old days”. Robert was happiest surrounded by his family, often listening in on conversations and quietly laughing along.

Robert leaves behind a beautiful and rich tapestry of family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Joan, son Mark (Renée) and daughter Jocelyn Dewar (Ivan)

An ever-dotting Poppa to Megan (Rick), Jade (Mark), Melissa (Chino), Brandon (Nicole), Morgan (Michelle), and a proud great-poppa to Clark, Pierce & Isla.

Robert will be deeply missed by his siblings André, Archilles (Heather), Laurent (Glenna), Roger (Simone), Denise Bellemare (Roland), Sylvianne Gélinas, Liette Desrochers (Simon), Joanne and Carole (Jeannot). He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Robert is predeceased by his parents Émile and Menciel (née Legault), siblings Suzanne, Marie, Clarina & Lorne Aitchison, Louis, sister-in-law Christine, brothers-in-law Yvon Gélinas, Camile Bellemare, Denis Mailloux and his godson Michael Brazeau.

His family is deeply grateful for the love and values Robert shared throughout his life. They will forever cherish the memories and time together, knowing the grief of his passing can only come from a love so fierce.

His family would like to take a moment to thank the frontline staff at the Temiskaming Hospital for their support, care and compassion for the health and well-being of both Robert and his family in his time there. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice, Parkinson’s research or the Alzheimer’s society.

There will be no service or visitation as per the last wishes of Robert and his family.
