René Daoust,

RENÉ DAOUST,

2021

It Is with great sorrow that the Daoust Family announces the passing of our beloved father aged 86. Dad passed on August 8th at the Temiskaming Hospital. Born in Montreal and pre deceased by our loving mother Pierrette Daoust (née Champagne), he leaves behind his companion Francine Chartier, brother Armand and sister Suzanne (Corbeil) and many nieces and nephews, his children, Diane (Daniel Breen), Denis (Teresa Mc Intyre), Christiane (Dave Ferguson), Claude (Rachelle Lefebvre) Marie-France ‘Frankie’, Jean-René ‘JR’ (Sylvie Goulet) and André (Tracy Day), 16 grand-children; Janie, Andrée, Richard, Francis, Pierre, Blair, Marc, Mathieu, Martin, Danika, Nicholas, Adam, Jordan, Ashley Rivers, Bryden, Kaden, and 17 great-grand children; Sara, Justin, Katherine, Alexandra, Estelle, Cédrik, Alexi, Baby Dash, David, Isabelle, Dylan, Justin, Abigail, Zachary, Jordie, Keira, Deegan, and his loyal canine companion Copin. Dad was the best role model. He loved life, he loved to laugh, most of all, he loved his family. He taught us hard work and integrity. We will remember him this way, as will many friends in Kirkland Lake and St-Anicet, QC where he lived before returning to KL. Son dernier message pour nous: De là-haut mes enfants bien aimés je vous suis pas à pas. Restez unis entres vous, n’oubliez jamais vos parents. We wish to thank staff and doctors in Temiskaming and Kirkland Lake Hospitals for their excellent care and sincere kindness.   We also wish to thank in advance all friends for their support and condolences.Funeral Mass:

We send our condolence to Francine and the family of Rene. Although we never had the pleasure of getting to know Rene we felt like we did through the family talking about him. He was a wonderful husband and father who brought his children up with love and respect. I know how much he will be missed by all of them but they will live through his memories. From the card players, dart players and the many friends Rene made at his Tweedsmuir residence we all wish to express our deepest sympathies to Francine and to Rene’s family. We have thoroughly enjoyed having Rene with us here and he regaled us many times with amusing antidotes of his life. We will watch over Francine and Copin for you while she needs us. We will miss you Rene and may you find peace in your new world. Shirley Downey and the residents of 25 – 25A Tweedsmuir Rd.
