Fiset, Randolph " Randy "

FISET, Randolph " Randy "

1967 - 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randolph (Randy) Paul Fiset on June 15, 2022 at the age of 54 years old.  Randy was a loving father to his son Deacon, and a caring brother and friend.  He was born in southern Ontario on November 13, 1967 and adopted into the loving family of Peter and Arlene Fiset.  Randy is survived by his son Deacon, his brother Peter and his sisters Kim and Tracey and many nieces and nephews.

Randy started his career as a sous-chef but found his real calling when he served as a civilian supporting the Canadian Military in Kandahar and Kabul Afghanistan.  While there he received the Governor General’s Award - a distinction presented to civilians working in combat situations.  When he returned to Canada he spent the rest of his career working in the mining industry.

Randy was a devoted father and loved his son Deacon with his whole heart.  He had a large extended family and friends from around the world who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Randy at the Catholic Church in Elk Lake on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon at the Prospects Club (basement of the legion).  Everyone is welcome to attend and remember Randy.

Randy, a lifelong friend from our time as roommates in Thunder Bay. He was always quick to pass along his wit, pass along some brotherly advice, and pass along a beer... or six. He was one of a kind. Definitely will be missed. Condolences to Deacon and so to you all.
