Passed away on Wednesday October 17, 2012 at Extendicare Kirkland Lake. Peter was born on April 12, 1936 in Riese, Italy to the late Guglielmo Guidolin and Angela Cosma. He became a Kirkland Lake resident in 1956 and began working as a miner at the Wright Hargreaves, Lakeshore and Upper Canada Mines. Peter also worked for the Town of Kirkland Lake for 28 years as a labourer. He is survived by his loving wife Michèle Chrétien-Guidolin; their children Claudia Guidolin (Alain Lamoureux) of Ottawa, Marc Guidolin (Doreen Passenier) of Round Lake; grandchildren Nadia Whelan, Andrew Guidolin, Matthew Guidolin; his sister Suora Guglielmina Guidolin of Italy as well as his brothers Romano Guidolin of Italy, Gildo Guidolin of Italy, Raffaele Guidolin of Mississauga, Savino Guidolin also of Mississauga. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Extendicare and its entire organization for the incredible care provided to Peter over the years. Also, thank you to all of the families and friends who faithfully visited Pietro and supported the family during many long years. Donations in Pietro’s memory may be made to the Extendicare Activities Fund (155 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON. P2N 1A9). Il est devenu un résident de Kirkland Lake en 1956 et a commencé à travailler comme un mineur aux mines Wright Hargreaves, Lakeshore et Upper Canada. Pierto a également travaillé pendant 28 ans comme ouvrier pour la ville de Kirkland Lake. La famille transmet sa profonde gratitude au personnel d’ Extendicare et à toute l’organisation pour les soins incroyables procurés à Pierto au fil des ans. Aussi, merci à toutes les familles et amis qui ont visité fidèlement Pierto et soutenu la famille pendant de longues années.
