Peter will forever be in our hearts as he was such man of humility and we considered him like a brother always so much part of our family, so kind and so gentle in all his ways. We have fond memories of our times spent with him and Lois in our growing up years and they were to be treasured as they were always so much fun to be around always joyful and full of laughter. He will be dearly missed by us all and as I think of his little companion Rosie who one day will join him it will be a day of rejoicing in heaven as she runs over the hill to greet Peter and they will be re-united once again. Our love and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

The Fisher Family, March 1, 2021

Peter was like a brother to the Fisher family, He was such a kind, gentle and compassionate soul and had a heart of gold. I have many happy memories of my childhood with Lois and Peter, swimming and boating in Carleton Place and the many visits, while we were growing up. Peter has always been in our lives and was so kind to my dear mother Gertrude Fisher, taking her shopping and doing many things for her. He was always there with a smile and was a real gentleman. I will cherish the trip we made to Sault Ste. Marie 5 years ago when it was just Peter, myself and little Rosie. We had such a wonderful trip and great conversations! Peter you will be truly missed by us all.

My deepest condolences to the family. Peter was such a gentle man and was there whenever he was needed. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He was a quite man but had a heart of gold. It is so sad to see him go but now his suffering has come to an end. You can be sure that he will be watching from above like the angel he is. God Bless you Peter and may you rest in Peace!

For all who knew Peter, I want you to know that he is still being missed and mourned by his faithful and constant canine companion of 16 years, Rosie, who is now making her home with Roy and I. On behalf of our family, I also want to send our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Kirkland & District Hospital and the volunteers in the palliative care unit, who offered much comfort and allowed Peter to end his days in comfort and with dignity.

Carol Wilde, March 1, 2021

I concur Carol! The Palliative care was so nice for Dad. It was so hard to believe I was there for him, it was like a out of body experience. He was one person that I thought would be around for ever. Love you Dad! Peter Jr (Nicky).
