Pete was a great new friend we had many bbq and dinners in Dobie and at him home,,,he was a great outdoors man,,he helped friends last spring with our 540lb bear in Dobie and was ready to help no matter what it entailed,,,,,,,,wow a terrible last to his family ,,and to all his friends new and old ,,,will miss you buddy!!!!!

Northern College’s staff in the Northern Training Division are all saddened by Peter’s passing. He was a great resource to us as he helped us with our Diamond Drilling program. We always appreciated Peter’s no nonsense approach when dealing with us and his great sense of humour and professionalism was also noted. Along with my sister Sharon, I remember babysitting for the Crawford’s. Although I left Kirkland many years ago, it warms my heart to read the wonderful words written by Peters friends… My most sincere condolences to the entire Crawford family for the loss of your father, grandfather, and brother.

My confolences to the Crawford family. Peter was a childhood friend. We spent those endless summer days together exploring the wilderness of Kirkland Lake, building forts, making plans… He often spoke about south america where his father once worked and those stories transported me there like a Hemingway noveI. I enjoyed his friendship because he was without pretense. I have fond memories of Peter.

I used to babysit Peter, Lise-Ann and Katherine quite often and then Robert once he came along. I have fond memories of these days in the Crawford’s house on Brookbank St. My sincerest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Peter’s family and friends. Rest in Peace, Peter.

Sory for your loss. Always know that he will always be with you in your heart. I remember just last summer he showed my kids the moose that he was skinning and getting ready to eat. Let them go right up to it and almost touch it. First time they ever saw that. He will truly be missed by anyone who knew him. Tarzwell won’t be the same.
