Paula was my mothers best friend. I remember ( as a kid), the peels of laughter coming from what ever room they were in . Through the years , they remained good friends , no matter the distance that seperated them .
I remember Paula as an elegant , always beautifully put together woman who smiled all the time and made us kids feel valued.
Thank you Paula
May you find your loved ones in the great beyond . That will be a party indeed!
I would like to send my sincere condolences to all of her family. I only knew Paula for a short 16 months. We grew to be very good friends. I thought of and spoke highly of Paula. A lady that would never stop. Always had great ideas. Loved to be outside gardening and looking after her back yard. I know that she has touched the lives of everyone that she met. She has touched my life greatly. I will always remember Paula as she was. She will be missed by everyone that she has met. And most of all her family. Will miss you always Paula. Just a few things to add and clarify Paula's obituary.
- She passed away, after a short battle with cancer, at the Sudbury Hospital, with her two sons by her side.
- She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She and her late husband Tony operated the Don-Lou Motor Inn for many years. She always decorated the dining room, bar and lobby so beautifully, according to all yearly special occasions. She always had fresh flowers in a vase at the front desk during the summer months.
Her passion during the past several years was to sing karaoke country songs with her sisters at the Encore Club and Polish Hall. She loved dancing and meeting with friends. She was a member of the Encore Club and became a Board Member this year. She also enjoyed travelling, Sunday morning drives, gardening, sitting by a campfire and walking in the woods and by a lake with her dog Emma (now deceased).
As per her wishes, she has been cremated and will be interred in one of the Groulx family plots at KL Cemetery at a later date in order to celebrate her life.
