The family announces with great sorrow the death of Muriel Parker Maguire Jarvis at the Golden Manor in Timmins, Ontario on July 3, 2007 in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Douglas Maguire (1950). She is survived by her husband William Jarvis of New Liskeard, her children, Jane (Ron) Charette of Timmins, Katherine Rudy (Glen predeceased) Rodney (Raili) , Douglas (Cathy). Stepchildren Danny Jarvis (Sarah predeceased) Margaret-Ellen & Bill Williams (both deceased), Lynn Jarvis. Grandchildren Kim Walters (Mike), Scott Rudy (Kim), Steven Rudy ( Debbie), Shawn Rudy ( Tammy), Sue AuCoin ( Mark), Kevin Maguire ( Laurie), Brian Maguire, Amanda, & Ryan Maguire. Step grandchildren Geof & Willie Williams, Willie & Dan Alex Jarvis, Kathy Sue Lee Jarvis. Great grandchildren Jacquie & Mathew Walthers, Ashley, Brett, Alexia, Shantai & Eli Rudy. Amber & Samantha AuCoin, Kyla Martin Maguire, Matti, Kyle & Shain Maguire. Step great grandchildren Bill, Brittan, Brock, Braydon, Mary Morgan, Ariel, Lara, Sarah & Erica. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Leila Parker her siblings Mary Munro, Walter, Elmo, Claire & Jack Parker, Irene Murray, June Luxton. Muriel came to the New Liskeard area in 1933 teaching at numerous country schools as well as at the New Liskeard Public School over a 38 year period. She was a devoted mother teacher and mentor for her family and students. As a world traveler, Muriel visited many countries. She enjoyed car riding up until a few weeks ago. Her last trip was to New Liskeard in April 7, 2007 for her husbands 97th birthday. The family of the late Muriel Jarvis will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel 128 Whitewood Avenue, New Liskeard, Ont, on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral Service for the late Mrs. Jarvis will be celebrated on Friday July 6, 2007 at 10:30 am from the Perrin Funeral Chapel. Special thanks to Dr. Smith and all the staff at the Golden Manor in Timmins for their exceptional care and compassion. If desired donations to the charity of your choice will be appreciated
