Wayne, Ryan, Lee, Sherry & all the family
Our sympathy to all the family. May all your wonderful memories ease the pain of your loss.
We sadly announce the passing of Muriel Brenda Edwards (Nee Downie) of Englehart On. Muriel passed away at her home on Friday April 28th 2023 with her loving husband Wayne at her side and the age of 73 years old.
Pre- deceased by her parents Robert (Bob) & Lorna (Nee Lockett) Downie, brother Bruce & Jim Downie.
Muriel is survived by her husband Wayne, two sons Ryan (Bobbi), Lee (Sara) Edwards and Daughter Sherry (Chris) Bembridge as well as 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Muriel followed in her fathers footsteps with a fulfilling career with Ontario Northland railway beginning in 1968 and retiring as a Senior Principal Clerk in 2004.
She enjoyed retirement to the fullest spending time with her husband and children at their family property in Marter township and their little slice of heaven on Lake St Anthony.
Muriel had a passion for many things from gardening, staining, flowers, her animals, cottage life, baking (which was second to none) and whatever shiny new toy the kids would show up with. She was a very proud parent. Muriel will be greatly missed and will always be remembered as an absolutely beautiful person inside and out, may she rest in peace.
Our sympathy to all the family. May all your wonderful memories ease the pain of your loss.

Sincerest sympathies to you all. So sorry for your loss.
Bill and I just received the sad news of Muriel’s passing in a letter from Sandra Downie. Much too young to die with so many enjoyable years ahead of her! Bill was Muriel’s cousin as his Mother was Brenda Webster (Downie- her Aunt). I believe we met many years ago in Englehart and knew she worked for the ONR like many of Bill’s relatives. We send our deepest condolences to all of you.
