RYAN, Morris Cleve
After a brief, courageous battle with cancer, Morris C. Ryan of Englehart passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on May 7, 2011. He was 74. Mr. Ryan was born in Savard Township on December 6, 1937. He was the loving companion of Patricia (Carleton) Robertson. Mr. Ryan was predeceased by his parents Allan and Alacoque Ryan (nee Sullivan), sisters Marlene Mitchell (Cecil) of Sudbury and Adrienne (infant), brothers Leo of Charlton, Kevin (Carolyn) of Charlton, and Anthony (infant). Also companion Margaret Hayes. He is survived by his loving companion Patricia Robertson (Carleton), his sister Cathy Oja (Erik) of Naughton, Michael of Englehart, Jerome (Janie) of Massey and Urban (Mary) of North Bay. He is survived by his extended family of 10 stepchildren, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was a special papa to Joan Palmateer. Prior to 1977, Mr. Ryan had his own backhoe business from 1977 to 1990 and worked at the Adams Mine. He drove truck for Riverside Aggregates until he retired. He loved to garden, play cards and play darts unless of course there was a Blue Jays game on television. He was the current President of the Branch 227 Charlton Legion, which he dedicated many volunteer hours to. The funeral service “Celebration of Life†will held at the Branch 227 Charlton Legion on June 11, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place at Sudbury.
