I wish to send my deepest condolences to you the Baird Family. I knew Councillor Millie Baird well growing up in Kirkland Lake during my younger days.I now reside in Toronto and have for over 25 years. I worked many a time on her campaign when she ran for town council and we became friends. When we saw each other on the streets of KL we always spoke and talked, she was the councillor who arranged for me to tour the New Town Hall after the OLD Postoffice was changed into Town Hall. I want to wish you again my deepest condolences. Millie RIP my friend and thankyou for all your years of service to our Home Town.

RIP Councillor Baird, I remember growing up many years ago in Kirkland Lake and working on your campaign and we became friends. I, a young lad and you a Politician, we became friends, always saying hello to each other on Kirkland Lake Streets, your showing me the New Town Hall and meeting the mayor, Joe Mavernack I beleave and Mayor Johnson as well. Those days are gone by, I want to say thankyou for your years of service, and Rest in Peace.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Mildred Baird. Mildred was a special person and our friendship throughout the years, especially the Chaput-Hughes Lions Club era, was greatly cherished. Millie was an enthusiastic individual who loved life and helped others. Her character of a true citizen, was extended by the many years of service on the Kirkland Lake Town Council. Millie will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts are with the entire family.

My sincere condolences to the family of Millie Baird. Millie was a very special lady, I had the pleasure of meeting her when I worked at the town hall and she was a councillor. She always remembered the girls in the treasury department with a special gift each Christmas. She had a big heart and a tremendous personality and she will be missed. I also had the opportunity to chat with her when Teck Pioneer Residence became her home. RIP my friend.
