GODFREY, Mickey
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Mickey Godfrey of New Liskeard. Mr. Godfrey passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on April 29, 2014 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Jocelyn (Joy) Mulligan. Dear father of Leslie Chamberlain of Madoc, ON and Randy Godfrey (Rose) of New Liskeard, ON. Loving grandfather of Laura Simardone, Jennifer Godfrey (Kevin) and Dawn Godfrey (Mike). Also left behind his brother Dr. Charles Godfrey of Madoc, ON. Mickey was well known in the Kirkland Lake area for his love of music. He taught piano for many years and played the piano in many of the dance orchestras in the area. Many people remember him playing favourite hits on his own show on CJKL radio in the early 50's. Mickey also loved gardening, so during the spring and summer he could be found tending his vegetable and flower gardens. A Gathering of friends and family will be held at the Perrin Funeral Chapel 128 Whitewood Avenue, New Liskeard,ON on Saturday, May 17th from 7 pm to 9 pm.
