Micheline Phillips (1928-2011) passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 26th, 2011. She was the daughter of Pierre Lemieux and Valéda Renaud, wife to Edward Phillips, dec and sister to André Lemieux, dec (Simone), Thérèse Gaboury, dec (Bernard, dec), Viviane Willard (Arnold), Jacqueline Desilets (Marcel Loranger, dec; Bernard), Odette Boileau (Germain), Armelle Main (David), and Roberte Hearn (Wayne). She was the beloved mother of Charlotte Broughton (Dave), Carole Smith (Walter), Jocelyne Moreau (Roger), François ''Frank'' Phillips (Wanda Quehe, div.), Kevin Phillips (Rose), Jovette Belec (Paul Belec, div.), and Allan Phillips (Judy Shortel, div.; Danielle Roy). Grandmother to Debbie Wright (Rob), Ken Smith (Megan), Sébastien Moreau, Erika Broughton, Emilie Moreau-Hutton (Andrew), Stéphanie Broughton, Jordan Phillips, Richard Smith, Jadine Phillips, Mélissa Douglas, Alex Bélec, Jonathan Phillips (Laura), Patrick Bélec (dec), Kathryn Cook, Geneviève Moreau, Katrina Belec, Dillan Cook, Zachary Bélec, Nick Cook, and Daniel Phillips. Great-grandmother to Chloe, Dawson, William, Noah, Sophie, Claire, and Kalisha. Born in Ste-Cécile de Masham, Québec, Micheline was a strong woman with a kind heart who welcomed everyone in her home. She was famous for her bread and her ''biscuits chomeurs''. She was a farmer, seamstress, gardener, pianist, cook, artist, but first and formost, caregiver to her family and friends. When her arthritis worstened, she had to let go of many of her hobbies, but never stopped enjoying a good laugh over a cup of tea. The family will welcome friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard Tuesday, June 28th, from 19h-21h.
