In loving Memory of Mrs. Mary Anne Burk (nee Glassford) who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the age of 78. Mrs. Burk married the love of her life Mr. Carl Burk on May 17, 1958 at the Harris Township United Church, and together they raised 3 children; Robert (Wendy), Nancy (David Acland) and Wendy (Robert Wagg). Loving grandmother of Rachel Burk (Shane Pretto), Erin Guillemette, Alex Guillemette (Hillary), Jonathan Acland and Christopher Wagg. Dear sister of Peter Glassford, Robert Glassford (Linda), William Glassford Jr. (Elaine), Elsie Baker (Jerry) and Lucy Robertson. Predeceased by her parents William Sr and Elizabeth Glassford (nee Bertrand), her brother Ronald Glassford and brother-in-law Randy Robertson. In her younger years she worked as a payroll clerk for the Timiskaming Board of Education and then later as a secretary at New Liskeard Secondary School. She was an avid quilter and what she enjoyed most was spending time with loved ones at the family cottage relaxing and fishing. The Family of the late Mrs. Mary Burk will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 1 pm until time for the Service at 3 p.m. If desired donations to the Lung Association or to the Daffodil Terrace Lodge in Sudbury would be appreciated.
