WATSON, Marlene

MARLENE WATSON passed away peacefully on Sunday, 13th October 2013, in Kirkland Lake & District Hospital. Born in 1945, Carlisle England she moved to Canada in 1966 and settled in Kirkland Lake in 1967. Marlene was a well respected secretary of the Student Services at KLCVI for over 30 years. She was also an active member of St Andrews Presbyterian Church. A much loved mother of Jonathan and Jane, grandma to Logan and Hunter and mother in law of Veronica and Jesse. Fondly remembered by her brothers Bryce and William in England along with her many family and friends in the UK as well as in Kirkland Lake and across Canada. Thanks to all those friends who supported Marlene through her months of treatment with special mention for the Nursing staff at the Hospital for their kind and sympathetic treatment. May she rest in Peace in God’s care. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday 17th October, in the Tower Street Baptist Church at 11am. All friends are welcome. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Make a Wish Foundation. Funeral arrangement entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart.
