CHOUINARD, Marlene

1941 - 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Marlene Chouinard announces her passing at The Blanche River Health Kirkland Lake Site surrounded by her loving son Lee and close family on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the age of 83 years.

Marlene was predeceased by her husband Ernest, parents Owen and Reta Merrick, brother Arnold (Lucille) Merrick and brother Carmen (Lynn) Merrick.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lee Chouinard of Crystal Lake, Shane Jackson of Timmins, and Jimmy (Kim) Chouinard of North Carolina; grandchildren Josh and Jenna.
She is survived by her sister Vivian (Delbert) Peters. She will be forever remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Throughout Marlene’s life she has always helped families through rough times by fostering numerous children that she thought of as her own. She was a fantastic child caregiver and always extended her home to help her family. She was an avid sports fanatic and enjoyed the game of Curling and Baseball where she played often with her sister. In her early days she coached sports for youths.

As per her wishes, cremation has already taken place.
