CZUBA, MARGUERITE (née Fournier) – – Peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit in Ottawa, following a courageous but brief battle with lung cancer, on Monday, August 27th, 2007. Wife of John, cherished and devoted mother of Ted (Helene) of Kapuskasing, Johnny (Lynn) of Rockland, Anne Scott (Wendell) of Rockland, Lise Hanlon (Joseph) of Winnipeg and Lori Brohm (Daryl) of Swastika. A much adored and adoring “granny” and “great- granny”, she will forever be missed and never forgotten by her precious grandchildren: – Hillary (Mike Garva), Wendell Jr. (Melanie Pelchat), Megan, Michael and Jordan Hanlon, Jeffrey and Ashley Czuba and Amanda, Courtney, Brianna and Joey Brohm, Sophie and Melanie Boucher. She also had four great grand-children: – Mara and Olivia Garva, Nathan (Czuba) Williams and Makia Boucher. Marguerite will be missed by her sister Hedwidge (late Marcel) of Ottawa, brothers Fernand (late Doreen) of Kirkland Lake and Jean-Guy (Rejeanne) of Ottawa. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Laura Fournier and by her sister Fleurette Lafrance (late Donat). Our mother will live in our memories as someone who was always loving, kind and thoughtful to others. Her life reflected her gentle spirit, always a kind word, a warm smile, a reassuring hand. She loved to sing and the sound of her beautiful voice will fill our hearts forever. She also enjoyed watching old movies, spending time with her family and taking tons of pictures with her digital camera. She was a founding member of the right to life movement in Kirkland Lake and the local Knights of Columbus honoured her with an award in her name. In 1995 she moved to Rockland where she resided until the time of her passing. Our family would like to thank the staff at Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre in Ottawa, Palliative Care Floor, for their dedicated, warm and compassionate care not only to our mother, but also to our entire family. Visitation will be held at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, 705-567-3565) on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Name of Jesus Parish on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Marguerite will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elisabeth Bruyere Foundation (43 Bruyere St., Ottawa K1V 8Y5) and would be greatly appreciated by the family. “While her light may have been extinguished, she will always be a beacon to guide us”Offer Condolence for the family of Marguerite Czuba
