In memory of Mr. Malcolm "Mac" Wrathell, who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the age of 87. Mac is survived by his loving children Jim (Joanne), Ellen (Chris), Doug (Barbara, Chris (Ruby), Grandchildren Neil, Bradley, David, Alex, Melissa, Matthew, greatgranchildren Roan & Malcolm Best friends Norm & Rosanne, Lisa & Mark. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Dianne in 2009 and sister Betty in 2007. He earned a B.A. at Carlton University while working full time and helping to raise 4 children. He served in the army during WWII then rejoined the airforce. After earning his degree, he taught for several years before comimg to New Liskeard in 1972 to work for the Children's Aide Society for 8 years and then at Bartlett's Auto and Electric until he retired at the age of 60. During retirement he enjoyed travelling and became active in politics for a time but mostly enjoyed spending time with his wife Dianne. The family invites you to celebrate Mac's life with them on Saturday August 2, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the family home (228 Hessel Street, New Liskeard). The family would like to thank all the staff at the Temiskaming Hospital for their exemplary care and to everyone who brightened his day greeting him as drove around on his new electric wheelchair. We are also grateful to the CCAC nurses and all the personal care workers, meals on wheels and the dedicated drivers, wonderful neighbors, ex neighbors Lisa and Mark and special thanks to special friends Norm and Rosanne whose loving care allowed Dad to remain at home until May despite his disability.
