LUCY AGNES DALE,

The family announces with regret Lucy’s passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Sunday, April 13, 2014 with family at her side. Lucy was a wonderful person, one who wasn’t afraid of hard work. She cared for many children from The Children’s Aid Society for numerous years. She also worked at Kresgee’s for 17 years and was well known as the operator of Lucy’s Canteen. She is predeceased by her husband Lloyd and 11 siblings. She is remembered by her children Mona (Ernie) Prentice of Kirkland Lake, Lillian Dale of Toronto, Carol (Arthur) Scott of Kirkland Lake and Judy Dale. Her only surviving sibling, Valerie of Mississauga will miss her terribly. Also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will welcome friends at the FRENCH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME (111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3L1) on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Capt. I was very lucky to have known Lucy for the last 3-4 years and she was such a treasure to have as a friend. She continually surprised me with her consistant good spirits and kindness to all who knew her. She was such a good friend to me and I will miss her so very very much. She was so thoughtful to everyone she met and was so glad for any friendship that came her way. Everytime I see a lilac bush and an african violet I will think of her and her special love of flowers and nature. She is now reunited with her loved ones that went before her along with her beloved dog Sugar. Missing you so much Lucy lots of love always Debbie xoxoxx
