LEBEL (NÉE JODOUIN), Lucille

1943 - 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucille Yvonne Lebel (née Jodouin) on March 4th, 2025 at 81 years of age. Pre-deceased by parents Remi and Lucienne, siblings Gisele and Claude. Survived by loving husband Ghislain, sons Andre (Carole), Michel (Natalie), Sylvain (Karrin), siblings Reina, Denise, Jacqueline, Donald, Gerald, Marcel, Micheline, Denis, in-laws Ginette, Gilles, Marc and their families. Sadly, missed by her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Originally from Rouyn-Noranda, Lucille became a schoolteacher, teaching in her home town. Lucille married Ghislain in 1966 and moved to Kirkland Lake, continuing to teach. She left teaching after having three sons and finished her career working in the family business until retirement.

Lucille and Ghislain enjoyed Northern life together, touring the area, camping with the kids and later boating. Winter travel to southern destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico and South America provided fond memories. Boating on Lake Temiskaming with good friends filled our summers with marina socials, trips to Burnt Island, travel down the Ottawa river and a wonderful month long trip visiting family in the Ottawa and Rideau Canal region.

Lucille always enjoyed the company of her grandkids. Enjoyed gardening and created a wonderful home for our family. She had a sharp wit and good sense of humour. She will be terribly missed.

Ghislain and Family

My deepest condolences. May you be comforted with all the love of family, friends and God at this time. I remember Lucille very well. She was a lovely woman, mother, wife and became an in-law through marriage to Ghislain, brother of my brother-in-law Marc Lebel. I lived across the street from Lucille and Ghislain and babysat their children. Lucille will be remembered and held close in the hearts of many.
