1930 - 2025

Leonard Barbe passed away at Blanche River Health on February 6, 2025. Leonard is survived by his daughter Tracy Barbe (Ronald Kramp) and his extra daughter (niece) Emily Boisvert (Larry Boisvert). He had many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in- law.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Beatrice (Brook) Barbe, his mother Rose (Petrin) Barbe and his father Leo Barbe, his brothers Lionel, Cleo and his sister Susan Barbe.

Leonard was born on a farm in Gracefield, Quebec. At 12 years old, him and his father moved to Dobie, ON to live in camps and horse log. When Leonard was 25, he met his love, Beatrice when a whole group of Kirkland Lakers decided to pick tobacco in Tillsonburg. He proposed to Bea at the Kresge's lunch counter.

Leonard had many jobs over his lifetime including Mining, logging, lumber mills. His favorite job was maintenance at Federal Public school, because of the kids. 

Cremation has taken place. An internment and celebration of life will be held this summer.
