JURIJ BALKOVEC,

BALKOVEC, JURIJ “GEORGE” – – at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2007 in his 81st year. Survived by his sister Marja Balkovec in Slovenia. Predeceased by his parents, Jurij & Marja Balkovec and by his brother Frank. George will be fondly remembered as a kind, generous and honest man who loved to bake strudel and potesta for his friends. They will sadly miss him always. In honour of George, visitation will be held at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road, Kirkland Lake, 705-567-3565) on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of his life will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the Funeral Home. George will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Timiskiming Diabetes Program (145 Government Road, P.O.
