Lynn, My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. June was a great friend to me, we enjoyed many good times in Kirkland Lake. She was very supportive after the loss of my husband…I treasured her phone calls. I hope the wonderful memories of your Mom help you through this difficult time. I am thinking of you. Luba Witczak

Rest in peace June. You lived a long and active life and well deserve the quiet serenity we are sure you are now enjoying. We have many fond memories of times with you; driving around Kirkland on summer evenings listening to country music; long and pleasant discussions around the table in “Gramma’s” yellow kitchen on Tweedsmuir; picking raspberries in the backyard on Poplar; and of course all the wonderful meals that always included your great baked beans. These were all good times. Thanks for being a great “big sister” and a kind and helpful friend. Our thoughts are with you Lynn at this difficult time.

I visited June many times at Extendicare as a volunteer. First time I met her I asked if she would like a visit. No thank you she said. I tried 3 or 4 times finally she said OK. Turns out we are sort of related. Her cousin Marion McGugan (Coles) from Charlton is my husband’s aunt. June and I had a good laugh about that. We had lots of good visits after that. She will always be remember by me!
