- It is with heartfelt sorrow that our family announces the peaceful passing of Joyce Allick, on February 19, 2022, at Blanche River Health- Kirkland Lake Site, with her family by her side.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Peter, her brothers Bill, Vernon, John, Raymond, Eric Pickering and her sister Gloria. She will be greatly missed by her children Jed (Nancy), Wendy, Sheri (Roger), and her cherished grandchildren Sam (Bernie), Madison (Colen), Jake and her great granddaughter Paisley.
Our family would like to thank Drs. McPherson, Jordan, Estrada and the wonderful nurses for providing comfort to Joyce during her stay at the hospital.
Joyce was born in Cobalt on December 11, 1930 to Mabel and Jack Pickering. She loved to spend time with her family and friends or reading a good mystery outdoors, especially at the cottage. Joyce was very proud to be the librarian at Teck-Centennial Library for many years.
Joyce will be missed by so many who knew and loved her, but none more than her loving family.
The family will be gathering privately due to our current restrictions.
