So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dear John. He will be missed by all his family. May the love and support of family and friends, give you strength during this very difficult time.
It is with great sadness that the Nowry family announces the passing of John Edward Nowry peacefully at Englehart Hospital on the morning of April 17th.
John recently celebrated his 84th birthday with his wife and family on the farm in Earlton. He will be greatly missed by his sons Ed (Janice), Tom, Bruce (Cathy), and Brian (Patty). Brothers Norman (Norma), Roy (Dee), Lenard and sister Ethel. John was predeceased by his father Russel, mother Edna, sister Evelyn and brother Garnet.
John was a proud grandfather of Whitney (Scott), Colen (Maddie) Jarred, Steven( Kayla), Kaitlin (Ryan), Nicole (Andrew), Brad, Gavin, and Hamish. He was also very proud of his his great-grandkids Hannah, Kate, Ainslie, Piper, Finnley, Griffin, Daxton, Ava, Marcus and Olivea. Wayne was also a special part of John’s life.
John was also loved by many nieces and nephews that shared special moments on the farm throughout the years.
John was born in Earlton on January 9, 1938. He spent all of his life working hard on the family farm in Beauchamp Twp which was his passion. You could always hear the proudness in his voice when he spoke about the farm. John had a few other jobs outside of the farm throughout the years that included Earlton Sales Barn, MTO, and Inglis Tile Drainage where he made many Long lasting friends.
John’s family would like to thank the staff at Englehart Hospital for the care he received over the past few months.
For those wishing to pay respect to John and his family, visitation will take place at MacDonald Funeral home in Englehart on Thursday April 21, 7 to 9 pm with Funeral service taking place Friday April 22 at 11:00 am at the funeral home
Donations can be made in Johns name to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the palliative care unit at Englehart Hospital (Cheques to be made out to Timiskaming Hospice Palliative Care)
