BOWES, Jean Marion
In loving memory of Mrs. Jean Bowes who passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at the age of 83. She was a long time resident of Englehart and only recently moved to Hanmer for the past 5 years. Mrs Jean Bowes was born in Englehart on December 3, 1933 to Gordon and Alice (nee Porter) McLean both pre deceased. Jean worked with her husband Donald Bowes (pre deceased in 2001) for many years at the Western Tire store in Englehart. Once retired, she volunteered on many projects, and spent as much time as she could with family and friends. She is survived by her 3 children Connie Bowes (Allen Swerling pre deceased), Hamilton ON, Cathy Jodouin (Bill), Kingston ON, and Barbara Smith (Darren) Sudbury ON. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Christopher and Jonathan Jodouin, Cyle and Sarah Smith and her one great-grandchild Hailey (Davies-Jodouin). Also, she is survived by her sister Norma Wraight (Chuck, pre deceased) brothers Bob McLean (Kathy), Richard McLean (Brenda) and by many other nieces and nephews. The family of the late Mrs. Jean Bowes will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Thursday, March 16, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at McDonald Funeral Home on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 am. Pastor Steven Crosby officiating.
