In loving memory of James Joseph Moore (THE MOO) who passed away from a brief illness surrounded by his family at the Temiskaming Hospital on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
He was the loving son of the late Joseph and the late Zita Moore. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Joyce (nee Digulla) of 60 years as well as his daughters; Kimberly (Mark) Fisher and Lisa Moore. Poppa Jim had a special place in his heart for his grand daughters Rayne Fisher (Chris Falconi) and Tiandra Lacelle (Josh Castonguay). James was the brother of Peggy Frew (late Ken), Gerald Moore, late Gary Moore (Bonnie), Cathy Fevreau (late Lorne). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Jim spent many years devoting his time to the New Liskeard community; as a city Councillor, a business owner, and the Business Improvement Association. As a result, he had many friends and acquaintances who meant a lot to him. His favourite thing was to spend time at “The Camp” on lake Okawakenda with his closest buddies.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you and gratitude for the care provided by Dr. Ryan Sayer, Dr. Luisa Bonilla, Dr. Meaghan Alexander and the caring staff at the Temiskaming Hospital during his cancer treatments and his final days.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative, 128 Whitewood Avenue West, New Liskeard on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 1 – 4 p.m.
