Lots of love, Cheryl and family.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Stevenson, on April 22, 2022, at the Blanche River Health - Kirkland Lake site.
Jim was born in Sudbury on February 8, 1962, to Shirley and Ted Stevenson. Jim was predeceased by his father Ted (1992), and his partner of 33 years Jo-Anne Bouchard (March 8, 2022). Jim is survived by his mother Shirley, sisters Kim (Mitch) Moreau, Sue Stevenson(Gerd Morrow), son James Stevenson and stepdaughter Chanda (Joe Jeminiany), and grandsons Connor and Kayden. Jim also leaves behind nephews Matthew (Samantha) Moreau, Gregory (Lena) Morrow, Darcy (Carly) Moreau, as well as great-nieces Lenni, Vivienne, great-nephews Jack, and Leon.
Jim worked as a heavy equipment operator in both the forestry and mining sectors...for many years. Jim loved the outdoors and animals (including all of the pets he and Jo-Anne owned over the years!). Jim was also a very good athlete and played competitive hockey and ball for many years.
As per Jim’s wishes, there will be no service at this time. Cremation has taken place. If you would like to make a donation in Jim’s memory, please consider Blanche River Health Kirkland Lake Hospital Foundation, Timiskaming Palliative Care, or Northern Advocates For Animals. Thank you.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We love you, Jim.

Shocked to learn of Jim's passing. He's with JoJo... fishing on that big blue lake in heaven. May they watch over their loved ones, and may the memories shared, help you all derive some form of small comfort at this time. Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We did hang out together a bit at Central Public School in our jr. grades. Jim's talent to play hockey was very evident at a young age playing on the school team and other organized hockey in K.L. R.I.P. Jim.
