We are here in Florida for the winter when we learned of your passing and we were devistated. I am so sorry that we weren’t there when you needed us most. We will miss her phone calls but most of all we will miss her dedicated friendship. Your presence will be missed by all of us who loved you and especially John and your Fur Baby. We will be home in a month John and will be over to chat. Hang in there my friend.

My Condolences to the Webster’s and to John we were very saddened to here of Jackie’s passing. As childhood friends on Day Avenue we visited often between our homes and continued our friendship through life. Bringing John into her life was a true blessing they were a great couple to-gether and adored one another. Jackie will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Jackie was born in Kirkland Lake, September 8, 1938. Baptized and First Communion at Holy Name Church. She went to Federal School, Queen Elizabeth School, she babysat most of her young years. Jackie met Warner Evans and was his mate for years. Warner died of a heart attack. Jackie was devastated. But she survived and later met John Pascoe. John asked my Dad for her hand in Marriage, and it was given. My wife Christine stood with Jackie. They were married and we can now say they were happy to be together. They lived in Kirkland Lake all of their wedded life. My Dad was James Ewart Webster, mother was Rita L. Larocque both of whom passed away between the wedding and present day. Her brother Daniel William Webster, and myself as well as husband John Pascoe are surviving members of the Family. Her life does not sound exciting, however to her, her life was a fantasy, that being the result of John Pascoe keeping her happy!

Earth Angels There are many who walk this earth and share their love, time, and lives with others and want for nothing. Aunt Jackie gave her unconditional love to everyone…never an unkind word ever spoken about anyone. She was always thinking of others, of their happiness…health and well being…a TRUE CAREGIVER! A humble woman full of love living a simple but content life with her husband Uncle John. She was always the one to give a friendly hug, an inspirational gesture and kind words to anyone and everyone. She loved kids, never a mother herself, but motherly to all the children she babysat…all of her nieces/nephews. The first one to give a hug…to kiss a boo boo…providing comfort in her soft spoken words. Aunt Jackie was my godmother…and was very proud of it! All of my life, she ensured that she called at least weekly (in the past few years…almost daily) She always made sure I knew how much she adored and loved me. My Angel…Aunt Jackie, my godmother…I am forever grateful to be the recipient of such unconditional endless love. She has taught me what selfless means…never wanting more than her loving family and her enjoyment of the simple things in life. She was my friendly ear to share our phone calls…always asking about everyone in our family…wanting to know that they were happy, healthy and safe…We truly were blessed with her in our lives. I’d always tell her that the only way I’m getting into heaven….”Is riding her coat tails!”…she would laugh and tell me that I was bad…then she’d tell me that I’d have to ride Uncle Johns coat tails!… She was my favorite, and I was hers…I made sure to tell my siblings that I was her favorite!!! She would whisper that I was…then she would tell my sisters and brother…that she loved us all the same! LOL… Uncle John was her love… her life. She adored him…and he adored her. Always teasing each other, sharing the simple moments that most of us take for granted. I am forever greatful to Uncle John for loving my Aunt…and providing the happiness and joy that she so deserved. I am so going to miss those phone calls, I am so going to miss the teasing, I am so going to miss being the “favourite”…I am so going to miss MY VERY OWN ANGEL! I MISS YOU…I LOVE YOU “TO THE MOON, ALWAYS AND FOREVER” Your favorite niece… Wendi

I was here visiting in Kirkland Lake when Danny phoned to say Jackie had passed. The Stoodley family all remember Jackie with warm memories as our families were so closely connected being friends between houses. I was in their home every day of my childhood and Jackie always had a smile for me. She would put on her western records as she went through her household chores. Little did Danny and I know then that “she was country when country wasn’t cool.” Later George Jones and then Barbara Mandrell sang that song. Every time I hear it, I think of Jackie and how “cool” she must have been. A part of Day Avenue history is silent but Jackie will always be remembered for the genuine person she always was. Good night Jackie.
