BLAIN, Irène

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Irène Blain (née Godmaire) on March 6, 2022, at the age of 84 years old. Irène passed away peacefully in her sleep at home.

Born on May 4, 1937, in Hudson Township (New Liskeard), ON , she was the daughter of Maurice and Eugénie Godmaire (née Beaudoin). She was predeceased by her husband Théode Blain in 2009.

Irène is survived by her children, Céline Beaudry, Linda (Paul) Maurice, Ronald, Carole (Daniel) Rivest, 10 grand-children and 16 great grand-children. She was also very close to her nieces Nicole Rainville, Joanne Hergott and Carmaine Beaudry.

She will be remembered for her sense of humour, her avid gardening skills, her famous soup, her love for gambling at the casino and playing cards.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que la famille annonce le décès de Irène Blain (née Godmaire), le 6 mars 2022, à l’âge de 84 ans. Elle est décédée dans son sommeil à la maison.

Née le 4 mai 1937 dans le canton d’Hudson (New Liskeard), ON, elle était la fille de Maurice Godmaire et Eugénie (née Beaudoin). Elle fut prédécédée par son conjoint Théode Blain en 2009.

Irène est survécue par ses enfants, Céline Beaudry, Linda (Paul) Maurice, Ronald, Carole (Daniel) Rivest, 10 petits-enfants et 16 arrière-petits-enfants. Elle était aussi très proche de ses nièces Nicole Rainville, Joanne Hergott et Carmaine Beaudry.

Elle restera dans nos mémoires pour son sens de l’humour, sa passion pour le jardinage, sa délicieuse soupe, sa passion pour le gambling et jouer aux cartes.
