The Pratt Families and his loved ones
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. May he Rest In Peace
Our gracious and loving Father, Harvey Reynolds Pratt, entered the immediate presence of His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at 3:40 PM January 1st from his bed in the Kirkland Lake Extendicare Nursing Home.
He lived an unselfish life to the benefit of many others and to the glory of His God. He genuinely loved the Lord Jesus who saved him from his sins as a boy on one hot summer day in August of 1938 in the Charlton area.
He truly loved his faithful wife Ida Iris Pratt (nee Rodgers); having been married since April 12, 1949.
Please remember his beloved wife who will surely miss the one who loved her dearly for over seven decades. Harvey was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Doris Pratt.
Harvey's six children and their spouses feel a great loss but are thankful that his suffering is eternally over. Murray and Martha Pratt; Eric and Sylvia Taylor; Douglas and Deborah Yade; Larry and Mary-Jane Pratt; Geoffrey and Gwendolyn Schinkel; Bryan and Rhonda Mann ...are looking forward to meeting Dad Pratt once again in Heaven above!
Harvey Pratt leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and spouses who will also miss him very much.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Extendicare for their many kindnesses shown to Dad and Mom during their stay there.
Donations can be made to the Kirkland Lake Extendicare Nursing Home; Truth and Tidings Gospel Trust or any charity of your choice.
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. May he Rest In Peace
The Pratt Family...
We are sorry to hear of the passing of Harvey. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Condolences to all.
What a life, what a heritage and what an example. He left a part of himself with everyone he came in contact with. He was the last uncle among 16 that I lay claim to. He was my employer through my teens and a leader at church. Firm with his word but not in a harsh way. His smiling face, tearful eye and warm heart will be remembered . Using my sanctified imagination, I think there was a joyful reunion when he arrived home - such a long list of welcomers. See you later Uncle Harvey. Well done!
Stan Fergusson and Dave Gardiner enjoyed their visit with Harvey and Iris. Great memories.
There are so many memories and feelings that come to mind when I think of my uncle Harvey but the words that keep coming to me are love and family. The love that he always showed to us nieces and nephews but especially to my dad will never be forgotten. I remember as a kid the daily phone calls with my dad where they’d catch each other up on their day, I always wondered how they found so much to talk about! And then when my dad was dying of cancer, Uncle Harvey at 92 made the trip to the hospital once a week for as long as he could to spend time with his little brother. His being there for our dad is a lesson that my siblings and I have tried to emulate with each other ever since. I will miss my visits with Uncle Harvey but I know that there was great rejoicing in heaven when he arrived there on Saturday. I’m sure that my dad was one of the first to greet his hero! You are all on my hearts as you say goodbye to your dad. I am so thankful that it is for just a little while!
Dear Aunt Iris and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are sent to you at this time. There is no more suffering. Uncle Harvey has left us with wonderful memories of times together. He has left a legacy of family values for us to try to emulate. A life well lived.
God bless,
Shirley Flemming-O'Grady
Dear Mrs. Pratt,
We are thinking of you during this time of grief as you process your deep loss. We knew your husband to be a good and godly man, well-liked and revered by many. He was friendly, honest and genuine; he loved his family and was good to his friends and neighbours. We are confident that when he entered heaven's gates he heard his Heavenly Father say, "Well done, good and faithful servant.............. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25:23
We will keep your family in our prayers in these difficult days of grief. May the knowledge that he is now with his Saviour, bring you peace and comfort. Lloyd & Nancy Packham
Condolences to all......beloved memories will keep him close to your heart
Our condolences to all the Pratt family & friends. May all your wonderful memories give you comfort.
Anne and I send our condolences to the family and loved ones of Harvey Pratt who is now with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
One of my favourite memories of Harvey is when Dad (Dave) had just ought his Massey-Ferguson 35 tractor with two mounted ploughs in the early 60’s, but couldn’t get it to plough. So he waited until Harvey came with the mail and he set them up for him and away Dad went ploughing as happy as could be.
Meeting Harvey was always a pleasant experience.
It is with fond memories of this gentle, Godly man, and with our deepest sympathy, that we send you all our love, prayers and thoughts.
My Dad had great respect and love for your Dad.
With care and affection,
Gord and Karen

We have so many fond
memories of Mr Pratt.
He was a truly special person who had a gentle manner.
He always had a story and chuckle when he would deliver the mail to our farm. Our
family looked forward to his visits.

My deepest sympathies to the family,
Mr Pratt was such a good friend to my parents!
I always think of him bringing the mail, often stopping in for a bowl of Moms soup, and asking about the family. He was a very kind, caring man. So much more than the mailman!
Sincerely Mary-Lou ( Arts) & Mike Lauzon
Praying for your family as you grieve the loss of your loved one here on earth. Mr. Pratt was such a Godly kind man who was such an inspiration to others and is now resting in perfect peace in the arms of his loving Saviour. May you cherish each memory of him until our Lord returns.
