FRANCES ANNIE WOODS

July 26, 1941 – January 13, 2022

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Frances on January 13th at Extendicare Tri-Town after her long struggle with Alzheimer's.

She was a kind, caring, gracious lady and could light up the room with her smile. She had a passion for baking, blueberry picking, camping, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert. Lovingly remembered by her sons Randy (Sharon), Marty (Charlene), and Rick (Margie). Grandchildren Damian (Vanessa), Bryan (Charmaine) and Nadine Benson, Austin (Marie-Claude Leveille), Jessie and Terri-Lynn Woods, and Melissa (Mark) Roll. Great-grandchildren Liberty, Keenan, Sophia, Ben Benson, Skylar & Aria Benson, and Sophie Roll.  Survived by siblings Sheila (Jean-Guy) Leblanc, Jim (Deanna) Bennett, Dorothy Sweet (Bruce-deceased), Garry (Sherron) Bennett, and Gail Bennett-Newton (George-deceased).

Survived by in-laws Art Handley, Patricia Bennett, Clarence (Gabby) Woods, Clayton Woods, Claudette Woods, and Shirley Woods.

Predeceased by her parents Fred & Beatrice Bennett; her siblings Evelyn Bennett, Charles Bennett, and Catherine Handley and her brother in law Doug Conroy.

Also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.

The family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Extendicare Tri-Town for their care and compassion during her stay there. A special thank you to her sister Sheila who was always there for her when we couldn’t be.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In her memory, donations can be made to the Community Cancer Care.

all who loved this beautiful soul

I didn't know her name or anything about her. In fact, I cannot pinpoint where exactly I ran into her over the past 23 years. What I do know is the smile she always wore, and it came from her eyes as well. She had this cute little way of snuffling her cute nose and laughing. If you knew her, I can tell you with complete sincerity, that you were sharing space with an Earth angel. Blessed be to a life well lived! We could all learn to be a little bit more like her light.

Sending our sincerest sympathy your way. Vicki chatted with your mom many times over the years, quite often at the Salvation Army. She always had a smile and asked about the family. Sending hugs your way ❤
