It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Ernest (Ernie) Toupin, announces his passing on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Teck Pioneer Residence in Kirkland Lake at the age of 84. Born September 4, 1932 to Ernest Toupin and Marie-Anne Loranger. He was raised on a farm in Earlton. He worked at the Co-op as a young man. He met the love of his life in October 1958 and they married June 4, 1960. He later moved back to the farm where he raised his family. In 1990, he sold the farm and moved to New Liskeard. He became a member of the Hudson Lions Club and often could be found at the mall selling Nevada tickets. He so enjoyed talking with everyone that he met. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Fernande (Forget). Also left to mourn are his children, Réal (Chantal), Richard (Louise), Joyceline Hall (Ron), Bruce (Charity) and seven grandchildren, Renée, Mathieu, Patrick, David, Natasha, Charisma and Chase also one great granddaughter , Aria. Mr. Toupin leaves behind his sisters, Gracia Bouffard, Marie-Rose Toupin and Cécile Toupin (Gilles) and one sister in law, Odyle Toupin (André). The family would like to thank the great staff at Teck Pioneer Residence for their great care, compassion and their professionalism. The Family will receive friends and family at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11 am from Paroisse Sacré Coeur, New Liskeard. Father Alexis O'Lenga officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Community Cancer Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
