Edward James Joseph O’Reilly,

EDWARD JAMES JOSEPH O’REILLY,

2021

Edward Joseph James O’Reilly passed away peacefully at his home in his 76th year on November 21, 2014. Edward was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to the late Sarah (nee Kerwin) and Sylvester O’Reilly. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara (nee Ash); son Lee (Dawn) and daughters Lynn (David) & Tammy (Daniel). Loving grandfather to Katie, Brooklyn, Cameron, Jadyn, Carlee, Nathan, Lauryn, Landon, Shealyn and Dominic. Edward is survived by his siblings Nancy, Sylvia (Frank), Sharon (Ken), Penny (Brian) and Alf (Betty), Billy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was employed at Weston Bakeries for 37 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend his time at the cottage with his family. Ed had a passion for rebuilding antique cars and was truly a “Jack of all Trades”. He will always be remembered for his humourous story telling. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at Kirkland & District Hospital, Father Mitch and all of the agencies involved for their support, comfort and understanding during this difficult time. Because of your constant effort and help our dad was able to pass away in his home peacefully and with dignity. Donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. May the road rise up to meet you, the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.Offer Condolence for the family of Edward James Joseph O’Reilly
