It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing on March 15, 2025. Doug was born on June 21, 1950 in Rollingdam, Charlot County, New Brunswick. At a young age, Doug's family moved to St. Stephen, New Brunswick where he grew up until he was 18 years old. Doug moved to Ontario, where he started working in Windsor until he was hired at International Harvester - later named Navistar - in Chatham, where he worked until retirement in 2003. Doug was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending much of that time with different family members making many great memories over the years. His and Janet's move to Larder Lake was due to his love of the great outdoors. Doug enjoyed that life for 22 great years!
Loving husband to Janet (nee Chute). Father to Cindy (Marc Hampel), Wanda Cox (Greg), Tina (Dan Moore), Cheri Arnew (Brian Fife), Juli Gebrael (Paul Chouinard), John (Candace), Robert (Wendee) and fur baby Pixi. Grandfather to Stephen, Brittany, Amanda, Marc Jr., Courtney, Jennie, Mackenzie, Hannah, Kara, Nicole, Amy, Xavier, Karly, Romy and William. Survived by his brother, Lloyd. Predeceased by his parents, John & Ethel (Hall) and siblings, Irene, William, Carl, Margaret, Velma and Jeannette. Remembered by numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
