GOURLEY, Donald Ernest
With deepest sorrow the family of the late Don Gourley wishes to announce his passing at the Extendicare Nursing Home, Kirkland Lake on Thursday, September 10, 2009, with his family by his side. Don was born on April 28, 1927 in Toronto, then his family moved to Northern Ontario when he was a child. Raised in Matheson ON, Don worked as a class “A†mechanic at Bustard Bros. and from there worked at TransCanada pipeline in Ramore until his retirement. Don loved the north where he fished, hunted and did a lot of camping. Pre-deceased by his parents John & Elizabeth Gourley 3 infant children and son Leslie Hal Gourley â€` Sept 23, 1973. He is survived by his children Garry (Pam) of Renfrew, Susan Olson (Ray) of Alhambra, AB, Vanja Hacquard (Gaston) of Sudbury, Kim Watchorn (Danny) of Englehart, Darren (Kim) of Campbell River, B.C. and Kevin Gourley of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Krystyna Gagnon, Craig Gagnon, Kristopher Gourley (Lisa), Keith Gourley (Melissa), Katrina Edmonds (Matt), Garrett Coderre, Kayla Lebeuf. Also, he will be sadly missed by his 2 special daughters Madelene Gourley and Corrine Andrew and his new family at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Kirkland Lake. At Don’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Extendicare Nursing Home, Kirkland Lake on Monday September 14, 2009, from 1:30pm â€` 2:00pm. A celebration of Don’s life will follow at 2:00 pm. In memory contributions to the Extendicare Nursing Home or the Kirkland & District Hospital will be greatly appreciated by the family.
