I am truly very sorry for your loss. Don was such a wonderful person. I have known him for as long as I can remember, and have fond memories of seeing him when I would visit my mom at Goldbelt. He was always so cheerful and kind, always the first one to say hello to me with a big smile. Both Don and Diane we’re always so good to my mom, and he was a great friend to my mom over the many years that they worked together at Goldbelt. Don was also very generous, he would always support my sister and I for fundraisers for the school and the swim team. He was truly a genuinely kind person, and he will be sadly missed by everyone. My thoughts are with you in this very hard time.

Diane and your wonderful kids and families: There is not a word strong enough to describe the goodness and kind soul that Don had. Your loss is shared by many friends and the community as a whole. Don always gave so much of himself to others. I will always hear his infectious laugh, see the big smile on his face that always reached his eyes, appreciate his love of life and remember the good times over the years. We are thinking of all of you and are here if you need anything.. With love Nancy and Rob

The Dash Poem by Linda Ellis I read of a man who stood to speak At the funeral of a friend He referred to the dates on his tombstone From the beginning to the end He noted that first came the date of his birth And spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all Was the dash between those years For that dash represents all the time That he spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved him Know what that little line is worth. For it matters not how much we own; The cars, the house, the cash, What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our dash. So think about this long and hard. Are there things youâd like to change? For you never know how much time is left, That can still be rearranged. If we could just slow down enough To consider whatâs true and real And always try to understand The way other people feel. And be less quick to anger, And show appreciation more And love the people in our lives Like weâve never loved before. If we treat each other with respect, And more often wear a smile Remembering that this special dash Might only last a little while. So, when your eulogy is being read With your lifeâs actions to rehash Would you be proud of the things they say About how you spent your dash? ©1996 Linda Ellis That “DASH” enable us to associate with Don through our business dealings and indeed Don was the most cheerful and pleasant person to deal with. GOD takes Don away to give him eternal and peaceful rest! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
