ROY, Denise

It's with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Denise Roy at the age of 73, on March 7th, 2025 at the Blanche River Health - Kirkland Lake Site. Denise was born in Temagami,  Ontario,  daughter of Josepha and Irene Bisson (né Beaudry)

She is survived by her husband Rene Roy, her two children Shelley Bisson (Mark Fenton) and Eric Bisson, her three grandchildren Jessey Bisson (Danielle Lemire), Silas Bisson and Rex Bisson, and her two great grandchildren Freya Dubroy and Kylo Bisson. Her step-children  Michelle Roy, Dwayne Roy, her step-grandchildren Madison Roy, Marissa Roy, Mercedes Anderson, Ronan Roy, Sparrow Hall, her step great-grandchildren Jaxson and Rhett. Also surived by her mother Irene Bisson, her Brothers Emile Bisson (Sue), Claude Bisson (Lorraine), Joseph Bisson (Bernice), Marc Bisson,  her sisters Hélène Moroko (Dave),  Pauline Desriviere (Gilles), Carmen Bisson (Perry), and her many nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

She is predeceased by her father Josepha, and siblings: Denis, Tim, Raymond, Carole, René.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Blanche River Health- Kirkland Lake site and the HSN hospital in Sudbury.

A celebration of life will be held at the Matachewan Community Center (283 Moyneur Avenue) on Saturday March 22nd  from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a light lunch.

Donation in Denise's memory may be made to the Matachewan Royal Canadian Legion Branch 386.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Rene Roy, ses deux enfants Shelley Bisson (Mark Fenton) et Eric Bisson. Ses trois petits-enfants  Jessey Bisson (Danielle Lemire), Silas Bisson et Rex Bisson. Ses deux arrière-petits-enfants Freya Dubroy et Kylo Bisson.
Ses beaux-enfants Michelle Roy, Dwayne Roy, ses beaux-petits-enfants Madison Roy, Marissa Roy, Mercedes Anderson, Ronan Roy, Sparrow Hall, ses beaux-arrière-petits-enfants Jaxson et Rhett.  Ainsi que sa mère Irene Bisson, ses frères Emile Bisson (Sue) , Claude Bisson (Lorraine), Joseph Bisson (Bernice), Marc Bisson, ses soeurs: Hélène Moroko (Dave), Pauline Desriviere (Gilles), Carmen Bisson (Perry), et plusieurs neveux, nièces et autres membres de la famille et amis.

Elle fut prédécédée par son père Josepha, frères et soeurs: Denis, Tim, Raymond, Carole, René

La famille tient à remercier le personnel de Blanche River Health - Kirkland Lake et de l'hôpital HSN de Sudbury.

Une célébration de vie aura lieu au Centre communautaire de Matachewan (283, avenue Moyneur) samedi le 22 mars de 11h à 13 h et un petit dîner suivra.

Des dons à la mémoire de Denise peuvent être faits à la Branche 386 de la Légion Royale Canadienne de Matachewan.
