PEARCE (NEE LAUZON), Deanna

1941 - 2025

It is with immense sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved
Deanna Pearce after her 83 rd year of life. Deanna is predeceased
by her loving husband William (Ted) Pearce, her mother and
father Laura and Lubelle, brother Raymond, son in law Claude,
son Kevin, grandson Adam and great grandson Alec.
Left to mourn this loss are her children Derrick (Brenda),
Dale (Laura), and Karen. Her brother in law Harry (Beth) Pearce and
sister in law Donna Crump. Her many grandchildren Daniel (April),
Natasha (Mike), Andrew (Allison), Mark (Leah), Ian, Krista
(Justin), Kaelyn and Kentessa and her many great grandchildren.

Deanna and her husband Ted co-owned Pearce Appliance
Repair for many years in town and provided superb and
courteous service for the Kirkland Lake area. In retirement,
Deanna would not settle for relaxation, she had to do her part to
make the world a better place. She and Ted volunteered at Silver
Birches camp at Round Lake and helped to feed many transient
contractors, she was a member of the horticultural society and
held many awards for her and Ted’s famous greenhouse
creations.

She is fondly remembered for her experiences as a Watkins
and Avon salesperson, her incredible tap and ballroom dancing,
and her SkipBo playing abilities.

The family of Deanna Pearce would like to extend a special
thank you to the kind and loving care of the entire staff at
Extendicare, the generous and compassionate care from the
physicians and nurses at Health Sciences North and Kirkland
Lake hospital and the paramedics of Kirkland Lake.

A celebration of life service will be held at Timiskaming
Funeral Coop 111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake on Saturday,
March 22 nd at 10:00am with a graveside service to follow in
May where she will be reunited with the love of her life Ted.

Dear Pearce family: So sorry to see that your sweet mother/ grandmother passed away. I used to talk to her often at Extendicare while I would visit my Mom. She was always happy to see us. My late husband knew her in years past. Thinking of you with prayer.

Your Mom had a loving, and generous soul. She loved her family dearly and would always be there to lend a hand. When I was little, she was like a big sister. Later on she became a neighbour and friend and I watched you kids grow up. She will be missed by all of us.

Condolences on the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. Deanna was a good Christian and friend to many people. She loved life and enjoyed a good visit and a game of Skip-Bo when she was living on 112. Deanna was always cheerful and welcomed visitors at Extendicare and at her home. She babysat my kids twice when I was in a pinch. Diane said it was the first time she had tried Head Cheese and Ted's homemade date squares were better. Deanna was fun-loving and enjoyed picking up friends to go to Ladies' nights at the Bible Chapel or the Skating Carnival. She also enjoyed garage sales but it was a secret from Ted because everyone knew she was a collector of beautiful ornaments. They had lovely flower gardens for years and it was sad when they could no longer look after them. Deanna and Ted were devoted to Living Faith Assembly and volunteers at the Pentecostal camp where they had good friends and fellowship. We are sad to hear her passing, but know that she loved Jesus and is in His presence. I know she appreciated the help from her son and daughter in law in the last few years as well as the PSWs that she complimented at Extendicare. One bought her lovely nail polish that she showed us. Rest in Peace Deanna.
