As a student during the ’60s at KLCVI I remember Mr. Garvin patrolling the halls and stairwells. As a colleague “Fast Eddie” and I shared the school basement, he in the Art Room and I in AV. Ed always enjoyed the stags held after our annual baseball games at the end of the school year. He had a kind word whenever we spoke. He was a real gentleman. My sincere condolences to the Garvin family.

Mr Garvin was my Grade 9 Art teacher at KLCVI. He always had time for all of his students and a great deal of patience. He fostered a love for Art and he had a kind and gentle nature towards us (even though we sometimes didn’t deserve it). He not only taught me Art but a great repect for myself and others. He will be missed.
