WILSON, Daniel
Please remember Daniel John Wilson, born March 1st, 1994. Died April 16th, 2011 at the age of 17. He hailed from Kerns Township and was a student in grade 11 at Timiskaming District Secondary School. An avid and talented curler, Dan was a bright and memorable member of the athletic community; His sports also included downhill skiing, baseball, lacrosse and track and field. He was known for his sharp one-liners and dry sarcasm. With the ability to light up any gathering with his charm and good-looks, he had a sense of style that was all his own. Known to take in stray snowmobiles, his kindess and work ethic stretched well beyond the mechanical. He was also known to have a strong sweet-tooth, with a weakness for his Auntie Tish's butter tarts. He was a promising welder, and will be missed by his shop buddies. Also, he is grievously missed by his parents, Mark and Carol Wilson. He is also survived by his twin sister Molly, and his older sister Emma. Grieving also are his Auntie Mini, Mom-mom and Papa, and his Grandma and Grandpa. He is also missed by his Auntie Tish, Uncle Paul and cousins, André, Alexandre, and Beth. Grieving also are his Uncle Paul (Wilson) and Auntie Marnie, cousins Chris, and Carly, Uncle Scott and Auntie Mary Ellin, cousins Adam and Laura. Survived also by his Auntie Joanne, Uncle Dave and cousin Ashley. He will also be missed by his many friends and neighbours. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday April 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the Horne Granite Curling Club 11 May St. S. New Liskeard. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2011 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. from the Perrin Funeral Chapel Ltd. 128 Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard. Memorial donations can be made out to the Temiskaming Foundation - Danny Wilson Scholarship Fund. A scholarship fund will be set up in Dan's name in the Manufacturing Program at Timiskaming District Secondary School.
