ROSS, Dan

1941 - 2022

Dan passed away in his 81 st year, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, after a very lengthy battle with cancer, with his loving partner of 14 years, Candice Harding, at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Amos McPhee and Alfreda Porter, and his brothers James Donald Ross and Roy Ross. Dan is survived by his son, Randall Dean Ross, his daughter, Joanne Lisa Ross, nieces Natalie Perrault (Dennis) and GinaRoss (James King) and their families, and his loyal and loving toy poodle, Biscuit.

Dan looked forward all winter to the annual golf games with his Port
Elgin buddies, Bernie St. Pierre, Ray Carolan and Graham Marr, followed of course, by many chicken wings and just a few beer. He was also a lifetime Boston sports fan, catching all of the Bruins and Red Sox games. At home Dan liked to putter with some gardening, or at his work bench, where he was always fixing something or fabricating whatever he needed to do the job.

Many thanks to family physician, Dr. Eapen, and Drs. Koll, Yeung , and Mathur and the nurses at the Durham Regional Cancer Centre for their excellent supportive care over the years of Dan and I. Special
thanks to the wonderful home care nurses from Partners in Community Nursing and VHA Home Health Care, and the Palliative Care team at Lakeridge Health for their compassionate care of Dan in his final days.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative (French Family Funeral Home) at 111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, Ontario P2N 3L1 Tel: (705) 567-3565, with graveside
memorial service, internment at Kirkland Lake Cemetery and reception, to follow September 20, 2022.

Dan Ross

My deepest condolences and I will always have fond memories working with Dan here at the Bruce. We shared many good times out on the golf course and spent many Wednesday evenings at the Wismer House eating chicken wings along with a few beers. Dan will always be remembered as a kind, gentle man.
May all your wonderful memories keep Dan close to your heart.
