It is with great sadness, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, that we announce the peaceful passing of our sister Cynthia Croxall, surrounded by her family, at the age of 78.  Cynthia was predeceased by her father, Cyril in 1971, mother Margaret in 2002 and sister Marny in 2017.  She is survived by her sister Joan (Ray Porter) of Wasaga Beach, brothers Roy (Elizabeth Croxall) of Kirkland Lake and Jim (Gail Croxall) of Brampton and sister-in-law Molly of London, Ontario.  She leaves behind nieces and nephews, Margaret Steip (Bob), David Ewing (Shelley), Kevin Croxall (Martijn Borrenbergen), Derek Croxall (Renee), Rebecca and Katie Croxall, great nieces and nephews:  Crystal Waltner, Stephanie Proper, Aysia Keeley, Drew McIntyre, Nathan and Carley Ewing, Kaleb and Jacob Croxall, great great nieces and nephews, Ellie and Benjamin Keeley, Riley Proper and Hunter McIntyre.  Cynthia was loving and giving and was loved by everyone who knew her.  She was a ward clerk at the Kirkland & District Hospital for over 30 years.  She was a devoted life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and will be missed by members of the Ladies Auxiliary.  Cynthia was famous for her cooking, baking and preserving all of which she shared with everyone.Thank you for the excellent care she received by the nursing staff of the hospital during her extended stay.  Special thanks to Dr. Kurki and Betty Smallwood.As per her wishes, she has been cremated.  A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held in the spring, the date will be announced.Donations in Cynthia’s memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 87, at 1 Summerhayes Avenue, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3H7.Offer Condolence for the family of Cynthia Croxall

So sorry to hear of Cynthia’s passing. As Christmas nears I looked forward to her card. She collected stamps along with my sister Hazel (she passed away in 2005), I enjoyed talking with Cynthia about the stamps after my sister’s passing. Cynthia was a lovely person, she will be missed.
