ROY MEILLEUR, Claire

Claire Roy 85, of Timmins Ontario passed away on August 17, 2024 at the Timmins District Hospital

The funeral service will be held at Assomption Church on August 26, 2024 at 11:00 am, Father Justin Kabwik officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 111 Burnside Dr August 25, 2024 at 7-9 pm and August 26 ,2024 at 9 to 10 am. 

Claire was born in Kirkland Lake to Aurel Meilleur and Alma Charron on November 5, 1938. She was very active in her church. She enjoyed painting, making banners for what ever committee she was involved with, doing exciting new creations on her computer, reading on the life of Saints was a passion as well as giving a helping hand where ever it was needed.

Claire is survived by her daughter Michelle Lachapelle (Martial), son Jacques Roy(Michelle), her grand children Kevin, Amy, Louise, Nicole, Eric, Luc, her great grand children Noah, Nathan, Nolan, Effrum, Zaynah, Tahlia, Isen, Spencer, Adalie, her siblings Jean-Paul Meilleur (Jacqueline), Raymond Meilleur (Beverly), Cécile Boudreault (Félicien), Denise Daigle (Claude), Suzanne Malouin (Albert), and her sister in-law Lisette Meilleur as well as the many nieces and nephews .
She is preceded in death by her parents Aurel Meilleur, Alma Charron, siblings Therese (Benoit Roy),  Marcel (Lucette), Henri(Marguerite)Normand and Lorraine.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Palliative Care Centre

Chère Michelle, et Jacques,
I met your mom at Assomption Church many years ago. She was a good friend and a good help in my spiritual life.
She was 14 years older than me. When I moved away from Kirkland Lake, we kept in touch through letters, where she continued to help me through her prayers, and good counsels. I am very thankful to your Mom for her faith, and for her guidance at a time when I needed it the most.
