SMITH, Charlotte Ellen
With sadness,the family of Charlotte Ellen Smith announces her passing at Extendicare Nursing Home in Haileybury on January 30, 2016 at the age of 87. Charlotte was the daughter of Ray and Matilda Stewart and was born and raised in Harley Township. She was a past employee of CIBC and Northern Telephone. Throughout her life she spent many happy hours pursuing her passion for flower gardening. She also loved camping and cottage life and in her later years spent a lot of time traveling with her special friend Jack Scott, who predeceased her in 2011. She was also predeceased by her husband Carmen Smith, her parents and by siblings Margaret Elizabeth Stewart, George Stewart, Joe (Harry) Stewart and Phyllis Gervais Archer. Left to mourn are siblings Mae Matthews of Haileybury, Alice Beaudoin of New Liskeard and Larry Stewart of Edmonton. She is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law in Timmins, as well as two granddaughters and five great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews who had a fond relationship with her over the years. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in New Liskeard Cemetery in the spring.
