It is with sadness that the family of Cécile Roy announces her passing on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the West Nipissing Hospital in Sturgeon Falls at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard and son Raymond. Cécile leaves behind her children Jacques, Hughette, Claude and André; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her 3 sisters; 4 sisters in law and many nieces, nephews and friends. Cécile will be greatly missed by her family and card playing friends. She is remembered as one who could mend a stitch, a broken heart and saw the rainbow beyond the hardship. She had a great sense of humour and ability to forgive and forget. “Mom won’t be coming for dinner”. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Dr. Cowan and the support staff for their wonderful care. A celebration of Cécile’s life as well as a memorial service will be held at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery.
