Moe, Lisa, Mike & families, Thinking of all of you and your loss. I remember the first time I met Carnie, I was using a salad spinner for the first time and it went flying off the counter, boy did we laugh! Helen

I am greatly saddened by Carnie’s death. I had really hoped to see her again. We were school friends in Grade 1 and next door neighbours in Chaput Hughes. Our mothers were very close friends all their lives. My condolences go out to her family and friends. She had a gently spirit and I know how much she will be missed.

During our life on the lake, we had the pleasure to have Carnie & Moe as our “other” parents and very proud. All the time we spent at Sesekinika Lake as neighbors allowed both families to become one big happy family.(Okay, so our was a wee bit bigger). The spirit, laugh and love we shared was infectious to all who had the pleasure to be included. There was nothing like the rides to town with Mom & Carnie in the 1/2 ton with 7 kids to do our shopping or the dump truck rides with Lisa hanging on for dear life in between our legs while Dad dumped a load of gravel on the “hill” so we would be able to get around the circle with the moped. We had so much joy while living on the lake and that was in part to the friendship our parents enjoyed and passed onto us as kids. I remember sneaking into Carnies freezer and helping myself to many a ice cream sandwich and waking on Sunday morning to Moe, belting out his rendition of Freddie Fenders “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights”. We had it good! RIPxo

So very sorry to hear of Carnie passing away. I’ll always remember spending time with her and her family out at their cabin on the lake, and of course her sense of humor and contagious laugh. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. I hope she’s sitting with Heather, having a cocktail and catching up. Much love to all of you. Xoxo

Moe, Mike and Lisa: I was surprised, shocked, saddened to learn of Carnies illness and passing. Carnie was such a big part of my life growing up at the lake. Life lessons aside, Carnie and mom certainly had some interesting adventures on the water and on the little cross country ski jonts the group used to take. One thing was certain they always came back happier than when they left…..it was some time before I figured out it wasn’t water in those wine skins. And the soap…..to this day I still hate ivory. Our parents enjoyed many great times, so many adventures and a friendship that time could not dampen. I think of the two of them in the great beyond…….what a reunion… what a party! Stay well my friends Jo
