PAIEMENT, Ambroise Leon
In loving memory of Mr. Ambroise Paiement of Earlton, who passed away at Temiskaming Hospital, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the age of 78. Pre-deceased by his parents Wilfrid and Rosilia, his sister Marie-Paule and her husband Paul Cloutier, brother-in-law Conrad Desjardins (Raymonde) and his grandchild Philippe. He is survived by his loving wife Mariette nee Deslandes and loved father of Carole & Bob Miller of Earlton, Aline & Barry Bakhuis of New Liskeard, Ginette & Tim Lefebvre of Mattawa, Mylène Paiement of Englehart and Patrick & Jennifer Paiement of Earlton. He will always be cherished by his grandchildren: Jérémie (Dawn Mercier), Nicolas (Christine Smith), Nadia, Katrina, Angèle, Crystal, Monika, Jasmine, Jonathan, Anthony and Dylan as well as his two great grandchildren, Noah and Jolie-Anne and by numerous brothers and sisters. After the death of his father, Ambroise became president of the family business, W. Paiement & Sons and was very dedicated to the company and to the well-being of all his employees. A great business man, he had always been very much respected and loved by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him or work with him. He was involved in different community organizations and was proud to be a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. Other organizations Mr. Paiement was involved with, was the Moose Rack Contest, in which he collected many different items from local businesses. He also sold many tickets for their annual Moose Rack Contest, as well as, helped the Lions sell numerous tickets for their charities. A faithful member of Parish Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Ambroise went to mass every chance he had and was always involved in the services, as a minister of communion or a collector. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing, and throughout his life he was an avid hunter and loved to hunt caribou in the James Bay area with his son, brothers, nephews and friends. His wife, his family, his business and the great outdoors were his life. The family of the late Mr. Ambroise Paiement will receive friends at the St. Jean Baptiste Parish Hall, Earlton, Thursday, June 23, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:00 am. Father Germain Turcotte officiating.
